The Writers’ Club was opened to combine a number of bloggers who will contribute on issues covering mostly Bangladeshi affairs, so that there remains versatility of discussion on certain issues. Initiative to open The Writers’ Club was also inspired by the intention to form up an amphitheater for the Bangladeshi bloggers. Beside Bangladesh The Writers’ Club has concentration over global political and diplomatic issues with an emphasis on South Asia. The 21st century in its 10th year has witnessed the global powers to have their policies to fight an unprecedented global economic downturn rather than fighting territorial opponents of each other. This is certainly an important turning point for the global economy as well as politics and The Writers’ Club has started its journey at this very time when it can has its eyes over events of this decisive period.
